Just Shair Faux-lympics: Tug o' War

Just Shair is back for their 5th Olympic eventing, this time in the time honored battle of tug o'war.  Instead of a rope, a (not very durable) stick has been chosen to use.

A rivalry is clearly growing as they don't seem be "good sporters" toward one another anymore.  See Blair loose her marbles over her first loss yesterday HERE.  That may have something to do with these faces...!

They are not only off, but they are off to an intense start as Shannon is nearly completely out of the frame!

These faces of determination are what the Olympics are all about!

Blair is on the ground, desperate to not let go!  Will she loose her grip?  Will Shannon full on step on her??

Victory for Shannon!!  Blair is in no mood to congratulate her!  (At least she's not throwing things at her again)!

Just Shair: Faux-Olympics Candy Land

Another day, another grueling physical challenge!  Today brings the game of physical exertion and intellectual power: Candy Land.  Remember, so far Blair has won 3/3 evenings so far...will Shannon break this streak?  3 year olds...these are YOUR heroes to watch!

They have started this immensely challenging game!  How will they play the colored cards they are dealt?

 This is a game of total strategy, so naturally they need to take moments to ponder what to do next. 

History is made!  Shannon has won!!  Unbelievable!  Shannon defeated Blair!!!

Wait, Blair is NOT handling this well...

 At all...

 So this is what happens when winners lose...

Oh my! Well, whether Blair likes it or not...Shannon has won this eventing fair and square and is now a real contender in the Just Shair Faux-Olympics!  Stay tuned tomorrow for Tug O' War!

Just Shair: Faux-lympics: Foam Swording Fighting

After taking a day off from intense sporting to talk about the Olympics, Just Shair! is back in the arena ready to fight!  Literally...as they have (foam) swords and are ready to duel.  We tune in as they are about to begin as they show sportsmanship and acknowledge one another in a (pseudo) bow:

They're fighting!  Or posing with swords...it's hard to tell!

Shannon is on the ground!!  Could this mean defeat for her??

She's back up and swords are swinging!!  Neither lady looks comfortable, which is weird 

because it is doubtful either could be hurt by a foam sword...

They are several feet away from one another and aren't touching....at all...

Is Shannon about to take the victory??  If her sword was actually sharpened metal, Blair would probably be bleeding right about now!

What?  Shannon's sword fell off her handle, giving Blair her third consecutive win!!!

Maybe tomorrow at the Candy Land eventing Shannon will finally taste that Olympic Gold!

Olympic Video Part I

In case you haven't noticed, we here at Just Shair! have Olympic fever!  (See and click the links of our previous "sporting" events of checkers and Pop Tart cook offs! Needless to say, we're EXHAUSTED from those physically demanding events and needed a break today! BUT, stay tuned for more upcoming ones!).  Today we are showcasing our first of a few videos on the Olympics!  In this first feature we discuss the weird aspects of the Olympic torch, the parade of countries in the opening ceremonies, and the Olympic Village.  Watch, like, comment, SHAIR...but most of all enjoy!

Just Shair Olympics: Pop Tarting

It's day two of a fortnight's worth of sporting, and we're already at arguably the most physically challenging event of the entire Olympics!  Shannon and Lauren-Blair are competing against each other in a Pop Tart cook-off.  Think of the burn injuries that could happen-what a risk!!  Let's not even think about electrocution as this event gets started!

Being such good spotters, they toast their Pop Tarts to each other before officially dropping their pastries into the toaster.

We officially begin as the Pop Tarts make their descent into the toaster!!!

So far the girls are totally fearless in their excitement, despite such a huge risk of injury in this sporting event!

Victory for Blair again as Shannon's Pop Tart apparently got eaten by the Toaster and never reappeared!  Unbelievable!

Welcome to the first event of of the Just Shair Faux-lympics!  We're starting with exercising our minds in this mega intellectual game of blacks versus reds.  One thing is for sure: one of us is going to get KINGED like nobody's business!

Just Shair Olympics: Opening Ceremonies!

At a Krav Maga class dating all the way back to April of 2016, Shannon and Lauren-Blair of JUST SHAIR! decided they were going to qualify for Olympic Games in Rio Denver.  This comedy duo is very gifted in the sporting arts of thumb wrestling, foam sword fighting, pop tart cook offs, and SO MUCH MORE.  We are honored and humbled to bring to the Internet our glorious opening ceremonies from Shannon's kitchen using an authentic Olympic torch carried throughout the world candle that Shannon happened to have in her apartment.  Here are stills of this amazing and globe honored tradition:

The torch is lit and the ceremonies begin!

Such unity!  The girls of JUST SHAIR! hold the candle as they start their lap, waving to adoring invisible friends.

They have officially begun their lap around the arena table while maintaining a Miss America like grace and charisma to (obviously) absent fans!

This may become an iconic Olympic shot as they complete their lap, representing the country(?) of Just Shair! the night before beginning their Olympic events!
