Just Shair Olympics: Sleep Contest

The ladies of Just Shair are ending their epic Olympic run by possibly the most challenging of all sporting from the past fortnight: a sleep contest!  Let's get started with the handshake!
These sleeping beauties are not really focusing on sleeping yet with Shannon peaking and Lauren-Blair day dreaming.

Ladies...the Olympics 2016 is ending!  Where's an alarm clock??

Ok, Olympics over!  They're clearly hibernating after all of the sporting and not getting up any time soon!  See you at the winter Olympics in 2018!

Just Shair Faux-lympics: Ribbon Dancing

The second to last eventing is upon us!  The girls of Just Shair (somewhat) graciously bow to each other before beginning the sport of Ribbon Dancing...which is a switch from some of the anti-sportsmen like attitudes in past events!

The are so....um, graceful(?)...
They can't possibly be trying to look pretty while doing this...
Ok, how does one ribbon dance exactly?
Good golly...
Are they getting tangled??
Yes...they are...
Time out...are they even competing anymore??
WHAT is going on here??
Once again they appear to be fighting...like in most other events...
Judges are determining who the winner is...
How can anyone "win" ribbon dancing anyway???  It's a tie!

Just Shair Faux-lympics: Power Walk-off

Forget Usain Bolt, the girls of Just Shair are about to endure a power walk-off in Rio Cheeseman Park in Denver!  Let's hope they hydrated!

Before we begin, there's a video message from the ladies of Shair talking about dumb sports.  How appropriate, given that they're power walking tonight ::ahem::!



And they're off!  They appear to be keeping the same slow pace while keeping a nice form!

Wait, this is already getting nasty like other past events!  Is Blair pushing Shannon??
Regardless, now Blair is tripping Shannon.  Yikes, two events ago Shannon was biting Blair.  These ladies are the Emily Posts of the Olympics...

Whatever that was, Shannon has pulled ahead!!!
Shannon wins!  But both girls are too winded to care!  Power walking/bitch slapping is hard, y'all!

Just Shair Olympics: WAR! (The card game)

The ladies of Just Shair are all tied up, so whoever wins this game will pull ahead in the lead!  Being that these girls are way smart, they surpassed the pansy game of strategy that is chess and opted for the VERY hard game that is the card game of War.  (Did you know that they're athletes and geniuses? #mensaheretheycome!)

Before this incredible challenging and headache inducing game, the ladies shake before starting their game of WAR!
Blair looks confident in drawing her cards as Shannon looks more nervous!  Let's hope Shannon doesn't psyche herself out, as War is all about mental clarity!

The final card has been drawn!  Who is going to win???
Blair has won the game of War!!  Future Olympic wannabe sporters will cite this game as inspiration!

Blair is historically a sore winner and loser, and this is no exception!  Although Shannon looks a little more upset than usual!  What a tight Olympics these girls are playing!

Just Shair Faux-lympics: Thumb Wrestling

We are back to sporting this even!  Today's event is the always riveting THUMB WARS!

The ladies tap their thumbs in acknowledgement of good sportsmanship!
They have begun!  Look at that concentration!  
I hope they don't pull a thumb muscle!!
Who is winning?  It's so hard to tell in this photo!!
Is Shannon ALLOWED to bite Blair in this competition??
It appears that no refs have stepped in to police the biting!  And she has won!

They are completely tied now with 3 wins a piece and no injuries (besides probable bite marks!)

Just Shair Faux-lympics: Tug o' War

Just Shair is back for their 5th Olympic eventing, this time in the time honored battle of tug o'war.  Instead of a rope, a (not very durable) stick has been chosen to use.

A rivalry is clearly growing as they don't seem be "good sporters" toward one another anymore.  See Blair loose her marbles over her first loss yesterday HERE.  That may have something to do with these faces...!
They are not only off, but they are off to an intense start as Shannon is nearly completely out of the frame!
These faces of determination are what the Olympics are all about!
Blair is on the ground, desperate to not let go!  Will she loose her grip?  Will Shannon full on step on her??
Victory for Shannon!!  Blair is in no mood to congratulate her!  (At least she's not throwing things at her again)!

Just Shair: Faux-Olympics Candy Land

Another day, another grueling physical challenge!  Today brings the game of physical exertion and intellectual power: Candy Land.  Remember, so far Blair has won 3/3 evenings so far...will Shannon break this streak?  3 year olds...these are YOUR heroes to watch!

 This is a game of total strategy, so naturally they need to take moments to ponder what to do next. 
History is made!  Shannon has won!!  Unbelievable!  Shannon defeated Blair!!!

 So this is what happens when winners lose...



Oh my! Well, whether Blair likes it or not...Shannon has won this eventing fair and square and is now a real contender in the Just Shair Faux-Olympics!  Stay tuned tomorrow for Tug O' War!
